Woodstock Thunder

Woodstock Thunder Youth Football and Cheer is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that focuses on developing youth athletes to reach their potential while teaching skills and providing a safe, fun environment for athletes to play and grow.

We are a community of families, athletes and coaches dedicated to working hard. Our program offers flag football for ages 5-7 and tackle football for players in grades 1-8th. Woodstock Thunder football is part of the largest independent youth football league in the U.S., The Chicagoland Youth Football League. The TCYFL is considered a national leader in youth football safety. All tackle football coaches are trained though Heads-Up-USA Football Certification, Positive Coach Alliance Certified, background checked, and CPR/AED trained.

Woodstock Thunder Cheerleading (WTC) is our competitive cheerleading team offered for athletes in kindergarten-8th grade. Our coaches attended Cheer University hosted by the Illinois Cheerleading Association and athletes participate in cheering for Thunder home games, participating in half-time shows and our annual showcase in addition to competing at local ICA competitions. WTYFC also offers non-competitive cheerleading for athletes interested in participating in cheerleading with a more lenient practice schedule.

WTYFC has a dedicated board of directors who meet regularly throughout the season and off season to ensure that we fulfill the needs of parents and players throughout the year and stay up to date on all league regulations.
