Tackle Football
Our Mission
The Mission of the Woodstock Thunder Youth Football Tackle program is to provide the opportunity for Woodstock area boys and girls between the ages of seven and fourteen to learn the fundamentals of football and participate in an organized, competitive program with participants of similar age and size. The WYF TACKLE program is open to children that reside in the Woodstock School District (District 200 Home - Woodstock Community Unit School District 200).
Tackle teams travel to compete against other towns and football organizations that are members of the TCYFL: The Chicagoland Youth Football League.
Our focus is to develop well-rounded young kids who learn not only the fundamentals of football but also the importance of education in an atmosphere conducive to developing a sound mind, body, and character - and having a good time along the way! Our program stresses learning lessons of self-discipline, teamwork, concentration, friendship, leadership, and good sportsmanship.
